Future scope for Danish gaming industry
Henrik Riis, CEO, WatAgame visited Øksnehallerne, Copenhagen, as guest speaker at the yearly convention at Vækstfonden visited by more than 700 key persons in the Danish investment industry. Henrik Riis gave a speech with reference to the conditions for Danish gaming industry from the perspective of the entrepreneur.
Henrik Riis is CEO in the Danish developed project GoSupermodel, a global community with 500.000 subscribers. In Henrik Riis perspective, the online communities, combining chat and gaming areas are the next big thing in cyberspace. The idea in Web 2.0 is based upon the idea that people interact in cyberspace with no need to be depending on publishers' limitations. If it is possible to avoid the need for large contracts with major gaming publishers, Danish developers have, a great chance on the international scene says Henrik Riis.
The combination of creativity, educations in gaming design, great social skills and intercultural understanding combined with a well-informed investor group leaves significant opportunities for future investments and exits.
GoSupermodel is a product following the guidelines from Henrik Riis vision. With a insignificant marketing budget, the community has created a large global network of users and is presently represented in four countries, and targets several other countries within 2007. Viral marketing and low production costs has shown its efficiency for WatAgame and the investors behind it. WatAgame is one of many successful partnerships with significant exit potentials.
