Glycom join forces with Nestle
Glycom's increased focus on industrial scale production of Human Milk Oligosaccharides has led to a cooperation agreement with Nestle.
Nestle has a particular interest in the development of Human Milk Oligosaccharides for use in infant formula products. Today, infant formula milk products do not supply the ingredients necessary to support important antibacterial/antiviral effects as well as stimulating early brain development in infants. The technology from Glycom can prevent this situation and create new perspectives for the growing infant food market.
CEO at Glycom, Leif Helth Jensen, is very satisfied with the agreement. It shows potential and supports the next stretch of costly research that is necessary prior to this life-improving product can become accessible for consumers worldwide. As a side effect of Glycom's positive future pathway, CEO Leif Helth Jensen has chosen to leave Glycom.
Leif Helth Jensen's strong focus is on healthcare and medical technology. His main interest and strengths in Glycom was the development of vaccines based upon conjugation of highly immunogenic oligosaccharides. With the increased focus on infant food ingredients, Leif Health Jensen has decided to leave the further development of Glycom in the hands of a CEO with more experience in this particular industry.
