When I'm not working

I’m a passionate road cyclist and love biking on my carbon road racer, preferably with good colleagues and friends. In the colder months, I travel south to the Alps to go skiing.

Having raised three wonderful boys to young men, I am now beginning to spend more time on the simpler joys of life like travelling to European countries (in a sustainable way) or going to music festivals.

Watching

Film noir and SciFi movies are probably among the highest ranking. I love movies like Blade Runner, Delicatessen, Fargo, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, The Usual Suspects, Brazil, Zodiac and Se7en.

What I’m reading

I like stories that play with our perception of reality with absurd and impenetrable plots. Franz Kafka, Joseph Heller and Umberto Eco are among my favourite authors.

I’m happiest when…

I’m with my family or among friends enjoying good homemade food and wine on a sunny summer’s day.

What gives me energy
Mantra

The Greek Philosopher Heraclitus pretty much sums up life in the venture capital business: “Change is the only constant”

Podcast i recommend

Danish satire podcasts and the History of Rome by Mike Duncan talking about the rise, decline and fall of the Roman Empire.

Always be fair and open towards the people that you meet. No one is deliberately trying to trick you and I believe that everyone is trying their best in what they do in life. That will ultimately be successful for everyone.
